Together we address your concerns by talking about what is causing you distress and working together to come up with goals and a plan. We then use the best available tools, techniques, and therapies to achieve those goals.

I guide you through a process to determine if a diagnosis is present, such as ADHD. This can include an interview, specific tests, and/or questionnaires. At the end of the assessment you receive a report with your results and personalized recommendations.
Services take place in a private and comfortable office, and appointments are booked with open time in between - no shared waiting room

No, you are able to see a psychologist in private practice without a referral.
Making sure that the psychologist you have chosen understands your concerns and has the right tools to help you can greatly improve your outcomes in therapy. The call will start with me asking about what is concerning you, then letting you know what I can offer that may be helpful. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions you might have, and if we think it will be a good match, we can then book an appointment. If it doesn't seem like a good match, I will do my best to help you find the right support.
This question can never be answered with an exact number, but in general you should expect to see progress within the first 6-8 sessions. The best results come when you have a good rapport with your therapist, clear objectives, and a commitment to the process.
Sessions for individuals or couples are $220, and sessions are 50 minutes long. Assessments are priced according to the number of hours required for the testing, report writing, and delivery of results. Payments can be made by credit card or etransfer and a receipt will be provided for submission to insurance. Direct billing is available for a large number of insurance companies listed above.
An assessment is done to answer a question. Often that question related to a diagnosis, like "Do I have ADHD?" Sometimes the question is more general, like "I find that I am struggling in some areas of my life, can you tell me why?" In addition to answering the question you have, an assessment comes with recommendations from an experienced psychologist about what to do next. Sometimes assessments are required to qualify for school or workplace accommodations, or to apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC).
